      Pros

      At least it's a job. Free parking.

      Cons

      Poor leadership and management is quite pompous. No place to advance unless you are young, pretty and flirt with mgmt.

      - Working with "legacy" technologies - Not much choice in career direction - Work isn't challenging, just frustrating - Lots of red tape - Stuck in the Oracle realm

      Pros

      Zirous knows how to keep people happy, and you'll probably get to work with competent people who know what they are doing. WLB is great.

      Cons

      If you aren't management's favorite, you'll constantly get passed up for every opportunity and will be largely ignored. Mgmt has no direction or strategy whatsoever. You'll likely work on crap codebases with minimal attention to good code practices. Expect to gain little to no marketable skills if you aren't lucky. You're nothing but a billable resource. Developers are disposable. You will be severely underpaid, and won't receive any significant monetary compensation for your extra work. I literally make 5x what I used to at Zirous.
