It's honestly incredibly sad how little the internal culture at Cocokind matches the messaging they put out externally. Behind the scenes, things are falling apart. The turnover is CRAZY, the workload and expectations set are unreasonable, there is no gratitude for the team's hard work, senior management is useless, you're expected to make miracles with no support or budget, there are zero growth opportunities, their hiring practices are downright abusive, and the pay is pitiful.
But all of the rot in this company starts at the top - the CEO is an obsessive narcissist on a power trip. Huge company decisions change left and right to her whims, she'll verbally abuse her staff publicly in Slack, she gossips about employees to other employees, frequently unjustly fires people, and is constantly trying to use the brand to up her own clout. The CEO makes excuses for why the team isn't more diverse - the staff is about 50/50 White and Asian. Meanwhile there are no Latinos or Black employees. Senior management blindly follows the CEO not because they agree with her, but because they're scared of her. The CEO doesn't let anyone do their jobs effectively because she thinks it'll dull her "shine."
There are so many more cons, but it is truly exhausting to recount how horrid this workplace is. I'm tired of seeing Cocokind's fake and contrived marketing presence while the company is rotting from the inside out and the team is suffering. I wouldn't wish this work place on anyone and if I could give less than one star I would!
