Pros

Strassbourg is beautiful city. EU and varied work.

Cons

„Trumpism". Corruption. Hoax. Mobbing. Chaotic work with endless meetings led by external private companies - unprofessional. Cliques, Unequal treatment and Harassment depending on who you are and who are your Friends there. The 2 blondies in TLN were toxic and lying.

Toxic work place at its best

Pros

Salary and social-health benefits. The “golden cage” effect is what keeps people here. If it was not for money and benefits, I would leave looooong ago. And Tallinn and Estonia are not the most heartwarming people😆

Cons

This is definitely the most toxic environment I have worked in ever. Incapable, self-sufficient and arrogant managers (worst combination) that never took or a even planning to take any personal or HR related basic training…No, incapable HR - led by their pleaser and cover up overwhelmingly incapable Head or HR, encourages and awards them for their abusive, condescending, harmful, bullying and damaging behaviour. No personal development, career paths and positive competition exists. However, the suck ups and praise singers are awarded for their loyalty, rather than capabilities and results. Nothing will ever change as the incapable and not accountable management supports the HR and vice versa, supported by their “flying monkeys”. Instead with dealing with complaints and terrible satisfaction results, HR indulges themself in senseless and expensive campaigns with no end… And to spice it up…if you are Estonian, for sure you will not only get a job, but a fat promotion with it… The place reeks of corruption and nepotism, but the EU does not eat its own children, right? Smart, perspective and amniotic professionals for your own good: please stay away!!!

Best people leave

Pros

Excellent benefits package and EU civil service perks + sauna.

Cons

Terrible management and incompetence up and down the organization. The Agency is always looking for a Director, as competent people with international experience tend to leave very quickly. In the HR unit, people with their own ideas and brain are pushed out and drones who don't ask questions are kept. A lot of large scale HR projects were done for show: competency framework, cultural transformation, eu-LISA 2.0 only to promote the career of a single individual. A potemkin village.
