Dear i2x-ie,
Thank you for your honest feedback.
We are sad to hear your experience at i2x was not as good as expected, and we are grateful for your suggestions for improvement.
As we are among the first ones in Germany entering the market of real-time speech analysis software, there are many circumstances in which we will succeed, and others in which we will fall short and need to learn a lesson.
Our first goal whilst recruiting is to find experts in all the segments that are required in the development and marketing of an ML-based software.
If this has in a first phase led to a lack of diversity within the team, we made it a crucial point to be solved in the next recruiting cycle.
In the last year we have in fact enriched our team with new hires that encompass, in fact, a much wider range of backgrounds, and we put special emphasis onto recruiting more women.
Seeing many employees leave the company at the same time is part of the normal life cycle of a start-up. The professional growth of each employee is in fact much faster than in other corporate companies, and while this means that a new hire can expect to reach a senior-level position in a relatively short period of time, unfortunately this also means that employees with a longer tenure might consider leaving for a new company as the next step in their career.
We are still in the process of bringing to more customers the incredible advantages of our product.
As you might have heard while working with us, this often comes with legal and bureaucratic implications, that require a careful approach, when it comes to thinking in what direction our team should grow.
Like many other companies, the outbreak of COVID-19 has had some consequences for our customers and us, which reinforced the need to be conscious now in order to guarantee stability at a later stage.
While we would have loved to preserve the existing setting of our company, the dramatic changes that COVID-19 imposed on the way of doing business as we know it required us to think long-term and analyze the possible impact of any scenario.
The decisions taken in these circumstances are those that strategically would ensure not only the stability, but also the prosperity of i2x in the foreseeable future.
Anticipating the consequences that such events might have on our culture, we also have offered multiple occasions to connect even in times of home office, whilst preserving the existing initiatives such as Q&A, Show&Tell meetings, coffee dates, company climate surveys, event nights, sustainability committee etc.
We are nevertheless open to welcome further suggestions, that we encourage you to send at people@i2x.ai.
Best regards,
Narmatha Ravinthiran - P&C at i2x GmbH
