Progression - absolutely does not exist!! It’s a ‘not what you know’ but ‘who you know company’. Different rules for different people, can’t apply for another role if you are on informal/formal action plan but again if your face fits then you’ll possibly still get it regardless of action plan or not.
Last review states always looking for internal talent - goes with the above and even then most roles aren’t even advertised internally because they’ve already filled the position behind the scenes.
Managers are nowhere to be seen half the time as they’re in meetings all day everyday start to finish or they leave early everyday.. not only that but some can’t provide the help and support you need most of the time and instead ask a colleague which you could of done yourself
Targets are unrealistic and figures for outstanding work are estimates and not final which begs the question just how much work is outstanding?
In some areas there are too many managers/higher profile staff that imo are not needed
Most of if not all of their HR policies are out of date and or not revised every year..?
Overtime is different across all departments. My understanding of overtime is a VOLUNTARY decision to help the business out but in some areas you’re penalised if you have to cancel your overtime meaning you then can’t do any overtime for the next 7 days?
