Pros

- Remote working - Office location (accessing the office is a different story) - Some benefits such as training/development fund - Some pockets of genuinely nice, honest, sane people to work with

Cons

For a company that has gone through the acquisition cycle over 20 times - it’s truly shocking how much of a shambles the whole experience remains to be. We were told from the outset that ISW was still 'learning' from each round of acquisitions and that things wouldn’t always be perfect and BOY, was that an understatement. Leadership teams are completely out of touch and tone deaf. It’s clear that middle management are just puppets to the ELT & the investors (despite reassuring us that they are, in fact, human) - they will listen to your feedback but it just lands in a black hole with zero intention to adjust or improve. The takeover experience was completely unceremonious with layoffs handled in the most insensitive manner, no transparency about integration developments and absolutely no respect for reporting lines. Acquired management teams were cut out from any decision making or people related matters overnight and field teams were thrown all matter of distractions to make achieving the earn out target that much harder. Managers have no boundaries with the things they say or how they treat you, constantly back track on commitments and the professional value exchange is very one-sided. You need only look at any one of their professional histories on LinkedIn to see they don't have the necessary experience and are in over their heads. This company has made it clear that they don’t care about the people and the only thing that matters is the health of the bottom line. HR have no people skills and don’t even try to look after their staff - you’re just palmed off onto the Employee Assistance program at the first sign of trouble. DEI and CSR are just tick boxes for tax benefits - led by entitled members of staff who couldn’t possibly relate to any of the issues that they are building programs for. Company policies hold no value and when serious breaches are highlighted, it’s just swept under the rug by HR & Legal. Don’t be fooled by delusions of the company being ‘fun’ to work for - you’re on a never ending hamster wheel chasing targets and if you don’t drink alcohol, the only social activities you can truly engage in will be 1 charity volunteering day per year and a dull virtual fitness challenge. This company is soulless and boring, with little in their Frankenstein product strategy to actually inspire you. If you like very defined and process driven roles then this could be a good fit - but this is not the place where you can expect to build something innovative and fulfilling.

Pros

Work life balance & salary Some people are amazing (some)

Cons

Prior to the acquisition and the mergers I wrote a review saying this company was incredible. Now I’m here to say the complete opposite. This is a sinking ship. Management is focused on acquisitions and have forgotten about everything they already have. Customers are dropping like flies, employees are being fired and leaving constantly (I know at least 10 people who are interviewing and ready to leave). There are no processes, systems don’t work and some people are just plain dumb, mostly new hires (guess they were cheaper). You need to repeat things to them 20 times. Everyone who comes from the old individual companies is sick of the new set up. On top of that there is zero career progression

Pros

The only two I can think of is remote working and commision.

Cons

The list can just go on The management is toxic, do not care about people. Treat team members with disrespect. See people as just a number. Try to avoid any sort of conversation/discussion with you. This comes to the calibre of leadership. You’d think they’d come from a car dealership the way they come across. HR are useless with no support. Their aim is to protect company and leadership, not its employees. Severe amount of Micro management even if you’re successful. No focus on investing in product or vendors and expect growth!! Think five times before interviewing with them.
