Cons
I have worked at start ups to billion dollar companies. Never have I seen or experienced what I have while working here. I was off-course told during the hiring process all the bad reviews were from the ex-mad sales reps. Then this happened: Week 1: Ramp up? If by ramp up you mean an excel spread sheet with links to people that don't work there, or files that don't exist or people that have no clue they are supposed to train you on something then we're ramped up! Sales leadership? What sales leadership? If I clocked the amount of time my "leader" actually spent talking to me one on one in total it would have to avg about 1-2 hours per month. My last 45 days it was literally a total of 5 minutes. I kept track! Having bullet-pointed a 3 page letter documenting the challenges and concerns, while also taking the initiative to come up with process solutions I was responded to with a kind "Thank You" and 0 follow through! The actual sales presentation I saw was the worst presentation I have ever seen. Literally. I'm not kidding. Imagine a 50 slide presentation. Then a slide has 50 things on it. NONE of them leading back to the client!!! Then there's my manager rambling on about smartShift wants to do this and that. No one cares. Then steam rolling through client questions and talking over them. I mean this is sales 101 here! Having come working from a company that had 90% of the Fortune 500 as clients these guys seemed to have no concept of what prospecting was or the numbers it would take to actually meet sales goals. They were not open to listening. Then there was the occasional getting reamed out for not being able to accomplish something that was impossible to accomplish. You know the good old give me C! but you never got A or B. All technical resources are unavailable but your told to get technical support then you get eaten up even though you followed protocol and there was NO WAY to get it done. I almost feel bad writing this negative review.....but then I ask myself....isnt everything you wrote here true? And then I feel ok with it. ;) I feel great if given it helps prevent someone from making the same mistake as I did by switching jobs to work here.
