Pros

Great people and leadership. Product is solving real problems with PAM programs. Customer and partner feedback is very good, simple to use and roll out. And native frictionless access for users is industry leading.

Cons

None that i’ve found so far. Brand awareness could improve, but for a startup very impressive new hires and vision

Pros

Compensation - Very well compensated in comparison to industry standard Culture - I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my colleagues and was surprised by how engaged C- level and VPs are with people under them Work Life Balance - As long as your doing your job StrongDM are very flexible when you communicate. As expected to do really well in some roles you have to put some extra time in but that comes with territory. Management - Both my direct management and higher management have never fobbed me off when I’ve asked for support or something doing. Even if it’s not the right person or not a necessary question they are more concerned with coaching on that rather than not helping.

Cons

No full company events as of yet- a difficult thing to do but would be good to see. Slight misalignment in way of doing things between regions but nothing that isn’t quickly resolved when brought up.

Pros

There are a few (the vast minority) people who are experienced and capable of executing well in their roles. Those few somehow manage to hold together some semblance of a functional company. I sincerely applaud those few for giving it their all.

Cons

Leadership at the highest levels is completely dysfunctional. So much so that there is more energy, time, and discussions about how to cover up the dysfunction than developing strategy and tactics to grow the business. That has a trickle down effect throughout the company where mid-level management and ICs are operating with little clarity, no meaningful support, and in an environment without psychological safety. It's nearly impossible to make any progress because you can't get a straight answer or logical reasoning from the decision makers. A LOT of talk, no action. There is a faction of leadership and associates that hold their positions not because they have the knowledge or skill to do their jobs, but because they have experience working together previously. It's nepotism at its worst.
