Today is #FootballShirtFriday. So to help raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK and our own local charities, the EBA and RMCH, we wore our football shirts with pride.
The first day of our Wellbeing Week was a great success with lots of people getting involved. We ran an engaging ‘managing stress’ workshop to try and give our people some great tools to come out on top in stressful situations, as well as a lunchtime walk and run to help get people out enjoying the sunshine that seemed to have been in hiding for the last six months! Walking and running isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, that’s why we ran dance, kickboxing and personal trainer sessions for those who liked to mix it up, and to top off a great first day, our team over in Gibraltar competed in a mini office Olympics on the terrace. We’re looking forward to seeing what the rest of the week will bring! #WellbeingWeek2018
Today we've surprised our people at each of our offices with chocolate fountains and lots of lovely fresh fruit for them to snack on. This is just another way that we're making 1st CENTRAL a fun place to work!
Wow, can you believe we're in the second week of 2018 already? 2017 was a fantastic year for 1st CENTRAL, we sold our 3 millionth policy, our customer satisfaction scores saw a significant increase and we won a number of awards, including MoneyAge Insurance Provider of the Year. Not only that, but we sponsored local talent in the form of the Junior Ginetta 2017 Championship runner-up, and soon to be Formula 4 driver, Seb Priaulx and, to top it all off, we managed to raise just over £30,000 for our chosen charities. These are just a handful of some of 2017's highlights and we're looking forward to seeing what 2018 has in store for us.
Last week we joined the nation and donned our best Christmas Jumpers for charity and we're pleased to announce that we managed to raise £680 for Save the Children, The Early Birth Association and The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital - Great work everyone!
Our customers are at the heart of every decision we make, that’s why last week we celebrated Customer Service Week. It was a week dedicated to improving and celebrating customer service at 1st CENTRAL and was filled with plenty of activities to keep everyone involved. We even managed to send a handful of our executive team onto the frontline to sit on the phones with our agents so they could see what a great job they do day in, day out. It’s important to remember what an important role customer service has on a business and so on the final day of Customer Service Week we focussed on recognising and rewarding our people who continuously go above and beyond for our customers, and each other. We’ve had a phenomenal year to date and we’re excited to see where the future takes us and how we can continue to deliver a quality service to our customers.
This time nine years ago we were a startup looking to make a difference in the car insurance world. Now, nine years later we've just sold our 3 millionth policy and were crowned Motor Insurance Provider of Year at the MoneyAge Awards.
