🌟 Unity’s Stamps of Approval are a great way to highlight and celebrate true co-production across Achieve together. 🌟 Awarded by Unity Representatives, the stamps recognise projects that involve people we support in a meaningful way, bringing our ethos of “nothing about us without us” to life. From recruitment adverts to training and wider projects, the stamps show how people we support are helping to shape ideas, decisions and positive change across the organisation. A huge well done to everyone recognised so far, and to Unity for continuing to make sure voices are heard, valued and included. 💙 Emily Chuang, Amalia Ploscaru CertIHR and Natasha Woolley have shared their thoughts on the projects they received a stamp for and how they felt. 👇
💬 “Working in social care is an opportunity to grow as a human. If you're starting your career, trying to work out adulthood and don't know where to go - get a job in social care. There's plenty of jobs available, you'll learn life skills and find purpose every day.” This is just a small snippet of what our Chief Operations Officer (COO), Sam Collier, shared on the My Duvet Flip - UK’s Leading Careers Show podcast. The podcast highlights what makes someone flip their duvet in the morning to get up and go. Following a recent announcement that the UK is currently facing a severe youth employment crisis, Sam and host Jackson Parsons share the benefits of starting a career in social care, both professionally and personally. The pair also cover: 🔵 Sam’s career and journey to becoming COO of Achieve together 🔴 Achieve together’s values and the importance of equality 🟢 The impact of AI in the social care industry It’s a fantastic insight into a career in social care and an important discussion in how young people can gain invaluable skills.

Ellis Evans, a Support Worker at our supported living home in Neston, Cheshire, will be taking on the 5K Wirral Running Fest on the 31st of May 2026 alongside James, a person we support, to raise funds for Chester Pride. A charity that champions inclusion, celebrates diversity, and supports the LGBTQ+ community. As a Support Worker, Ellis plays a vital role in helping people build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. Across our homes, dedicated teams support individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs to step beyond their comfort zones and achieve things they may never have thought possible. Taking on this 5K run is one such opportunity. For James, this challenge represents a significant personal achievement. Being deaf and having learning difficulties, large and busy events can feel overwhelming. However, he has chosen to face this challenge head-on, embracing the opportunity to be part of a vibrant, inclusive community while also working towards his personal fitness goals. James already enjoys staying active, regularly attending the gym and swimming. https://www.gofundme.com/f/chester-pride-and-the-community
🌟Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary People 🌟 Before Janet moved into Arundel House, our residential home in Essex, she had struggled to settle in a home due to rapidly changing behaviours, communication challenges, and periods of high distress. Our consistent and patient approach gradually built trust and we ensured her care remained responsive and co-ordinated.💙 Janet is now successfully settled and feels safe. 🫶 Her mental health nurse has since shared that this is the only home where she has been able to truly settle and feel happy, highlighting the importance of the environment, team approach, and strong therapeutic relationships in place. 🏠
