How does Adarga's Knowledge Platform contextualise data and information using AI? Disambiguation is a branch of Natural Language Processing. This is one of the AI techniques Adarga deploys in its platform - along with machine learning and network science technology - to automate time and knowledge-intensive processes. This automation enables data to be turned into insight at speed. Disambiguation techniques are concerned with reducing or eliminating ambiguity to determine the meaning of a specific phrase in context. For example, understanding whether the term 'London' refers to the UK capital or a Canadian city in a body of text. A very significant element in the analysis process. In The Times this week, our CEO Robert Bassett Cross highlights the crucial role AI will play in enhancing human decision making in modern defence. “There is no human I know that can read ten million documents in about three seconds and find the protagonists, threats and the key parties. That’s all done by human work at the moment. It is why things are missed.” The UK faces a range of new threats that extend well beyond the use of conventional military force. AI will be key to gaining a competitive advantage in the age of technological warfare and it's great to be supporting the UK to put AI at the heart of its operations as it sets out its latest defence strategy.
