Michelle Anderson, AVP of Global Learning and Development, has worked at AmTrust Financial since September 2019. Michelle spent the first three years of her career as an elementary school teacher. She got her start in the insurance industry by taking a “temporary” part-time job at an insurance company and never looked back. When Michelle interviewed with AmTrust, she didn’t know much about the company, but she did her research. She realized that AmTrust was going through a level of growth that really excited her. She felt her background could help provide additional support and her learning expertise to the company. Her best advice for AmTrust employees is to do a My Career Development Plan. This program provides employees with the tools to identify their values, career development opportunities, and skills that could help take them to the next level and ultimately succeed in their career goals.
