Really proud that following all the work that has gone into improving our family friendly support, British Transport Police will be one of the first forces signing the Pregnancy Loss Pledge created by the Miscarriage Association alongside colleagues at West Mercia and Staffordshire. I am incredibly grateful to be able to collaborate with and learn from policing colleagues nationally including Jen Sharpling Kate Merchant, MCIPD, FloL as we encourage other organisations to do the same. Many of you will know this is a personal one for me too, as my second daughter Ellie was stillborn in 2018 and in 2019 i had a miscarriage.
