HAPPY B CORP MONTH 🌍 ✨ March marks the start of a month dedicated to B Corp companies and those on their B Corp journey to highlight and celebrate all of the hard work that goes into businesses being a force for good. This year’s theme is #ThisWayForward. Signifying not only the effort that goes into growing and learning on a B Corp journey, but also the impact our businesses have. 💚 That theme suits us here at CP – just this year we’ve given our sustainability, diversity & inclusion, and community teams a bit of a freshen up. We now call it Impact Beyond Business. As a nod not only to the business we do as a firm but the knock-on effect we want to have on our people and our planet. 🌟 Now, we’re not perfect, we know that. But we are trying. Our team is working hard to ensure our ESG is in line with our B Corp commitment and encouraging all CPers to muck in and help us on our journey. 🥐 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PANEL BREAKFAST 🥐 Our own CP Deals team (Katie Cash, Jumanah Kasujee, Marina Javed & Henrietta Turnbull) hosted the first event for the newly established committee, Midlands: Women in Deals yesterday at The Exchange in Birmingham 💥 Over 80 women who work within the Deals industry turned up to the event for an ample spread of pastries, fruit and sandwiches, and more importantly a fantastic panel event with experienced advisers, spanning across CF, TS, Tax, Legal and Banking, providing their open and honest experiences of being a woman in a predominantly male industry 📣 There were great insights provided on the day, with the energy in the room buzzing with conversations and support for building a community of women who can lean on one another for advice With less than 1 in 10 Deals advisers being women, events like yesterday are excellent steps in creating change in the Deals world Thanks to Helen Brocklebank, Kelly H., Louise Chubb, Louise Meldrum and Emily Waterhouse for their insights on their career as panellists For future event involvement please follow the Group, Midlands: Women in Deals 🔥 Happy International Women’s Day! #InspireInclusion
