🎉 We're celebrating! 🎊 We are delighted to have received the Impact Certified award from FuturePlus. This recognition celebrates companies that embrace an ethos of continuous improvement across the entire ESG spectrum. Alongside the award, we have published our ESG Impact Report for 2024/25, by FuturePlus. The report highlights our continued commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care while embedding sustainable practices into every aspect of the operations of our care homes. We're proud to have achieved industry-leading environmental sustainability. FuturePlus CEO Alex smith said "Cornerstone's Impact Report represents exactly why we are passionate about partnering with businesses committed to sustainability. When organisations like Cornerstone embed sustainability into their everyday business practices, and not just as a box-ticking exercise, they create lasting value that extends far beyond their operations. This report demonstrates how businesses can drive meaningful change while delivering exceptional service and care. It's proof that sustainability and business success go hand in hand.” Find the full report and highlights here: https://lnkd.in/d7dX4bUb
We were delighted to welcome the Sensio team to The Burren for the launch of their innovative RoomMate system. As a purpose-built, specialist care home in South Bristol, The Burren supports adults with complex neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. Safety and high-quality care are at the heart of everything we do, so introducing new technology like RoomMate is an exciting step forward for our home. Nicola Ricketts, Sensio’s Customer Success Manager, and Clare Brown, their National Account Manager, joined us onsite to deliver staff training and onboarding. The sessions gave our team the confidence to use the system effectively, and early feedback from colleagues has been extremely positive: “It’s brilliant, very efficient,” and “This system is very helpful and will allow us to keep our residents safe.” A huge thank you to Nicola, Clare, and the wider Sensio team for their support throughout the launch. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact RoomMate will have on both our staff and residents as we continue to enhance the specialist care we provide here at The Burren. 💙
The Burren, our newest state-of-the-art specialist care home in Bristol, celebrated its Grand Opening with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the home and the local community. The ceremony was performed by Julie Allen, mother of The Burren’s first resident, alongside Lesley Sturgeon, The Burren’s General Manager and Paul Hayes, CEO of Cornerstone Healthcare Group. Reflecting on the day, Julie said, “It was a fabulous afternoon, and I was honoured to be asked to officially cut the ribbon. I feel so lucky to have found The Burren for my son who is now receiving the specialist care he needs - he’s settling in really well.” Now open, The Burren care home is designed to support individuals with complex physical and neurological conditions in a safe, compassionate, and expertly staffed environment. Cornerstone Group CEO Paul Hayes said, “We are delighted to be opening The Burren Care Home. Every Cornerstone home we open allows us to support more people who deserve personalised, specialist care in a place they can call home.” Lesley Sturgeon, General Manager at The Burren remarked “I’m incredibly proud of The Burren and the amazing team here. Our Grand Opening was a truly special day and we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming more of our supportive community.” The team at The Burren are now welcoming new residents, reflecting a new standard in specialised care - person-centred, clinically led, and community focused.
