Really proud to say that GXO won the Large Employer award at last night's BASE (British Association for Supported Employment) Awards, for showing Disability Confidence leadership in action by embedding disability inclusion into policies, recruitment processes and training. GXO were nominated by the amazing Down's Syndrome Association who also won an award themselves, so congratulations to you and thank you for the nomination and I look forward to our continued partnership. The awards were amazing and it really hit differently hearing about all the amazing initiatives that are making a difference by supporting people with disabilities into paid employment. It is an amazing feeling being part of this.
Every year our UK Graduate community comes together to share their experiences, network and have some fun in the process โ and this year was an absolute blast. After working most of the day on strategies for building confidence, personal brands, communication skills and much more, the teams were given a task: Construct a vehicle that can hold one person while being powered by two more. The race was on, and it was filled with laughter! We're so grateful to all our Graduates for everything you bring to GXO. Thank you all, and well done!
It's a new Guinness world record! GXOers in Milton Keynes, UK joined 100 businesses, 20 schools, 30 churches and faith groups, 50 community organizations and 25 charities to collect an astonishing 102,447 cans of food โ and line them up end-to-end. The resulting food highway ran for 10 kilometers, more than doubled the previous record, and has set up the local food back with over half their annual needs in a single day. What an incredible effort! #MakeAnImpact
