Happy Arbor Day! As proud sponsors of the Arbor Day Foundation, this past week has been full of sustainability events for H2M! Our Troy office celebrated Earth Day by participating in a canal cleanup and the Long Island offices supported local beach cleanings. Today for Arbor Day, H2M’s Sustainability ERG is excited to share statistics from our “virtual queue” program, which reduces our environmental impact from printing. In 2022, H2M prevented 674 kilograms of CO2 emissions, saved 6 trees worth of paper, and saved over $10,000 from this program alone. We also supported the planting of 5,000 trees in the state of Georgia through the Arbor Day Foundation. Starting on Monday, H2M’s corporate office will launch a paper recycling program staffed by volunteers from the Sustainability ERG. H2M has ambitious plans for reducing its environmental impacts and we look forward to sharing our progress. #ArborDay #Sustainability
As a long-time supporter with many alumnae on staff, H2M architects + engineers proudly attended Ingenium 2023: The College of Engineering & Computing Sciences Annual Awards Gala presented by the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) on April 26th. The event, held at NYIT’s de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, NY, honored several award recipients during the event.
H2M hosted the P-TECH organization to have a town hall with our President and CEO, Rich Humann, P.E. today! P-Tech prepares and introduces high school students to STEM careers while having the opportunity to gain college credits.
