Creating a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace is fundamental to who we are. We're proud of the open conversations taking place across Hollis and of the commitment our people show in living our values every day: Last week, we came together to focus on a topic that truly matters to all of us at Hollis preventing sexual harassment and continuing to strengthen a workplace where every colleague feels safe, respected and valued. Through interactive discussions, our leaders and colleagues explored real scenarios and practical ways to recognise, challenge and prevent harassment. The session helped everyone gain confidence in identifying inappropriate behaviour, understand our commitment to dignity, inclusion and zero tolerance for harassment, and learn about the support available. Most importantly, it created space for reflection and honest conversation. By learning together, we reinforce a culture where every voice is protected and everyone can thrive. Creating a respectful workplace is a responsibility we all share. Last week’s training was another step toward ensuring we live our values every day. On Friday, we welcomed our new graduates and newly enrolled apprentices to London for a fantastic APC workshop. The day began with breakfast and quickly moved into a hands-on session designed to help our newest team members understand the APC process and how to get started. We then saw a demo of the APC platform and held some engaging breakout sessions to bring the process to life! The day wrapped up with an inspiring talk from one of our directors, who shared his journey from starting as a graduate - highlighting the exciting career possibilities at Hollis. We then celebrated with welcome drinks alongside our usual payday drinks, giving everyone a chance to connect with our Directors and each other. A day full of learning, relationship building, and inspiration. We’re excited to see what’s next for this talented group!
We’re proud to launch our new Future Leaders Programme 🚀 In June, we launched our Future Leaders Programme, the first of our new Talent Accelerator Programmes and an invitation only initiative, designed to fast track the careers of those with the potential to shape the future of Hollis. Created by Louise Woolfenden, in close collaboration with Ivy House London, the initiative blends deep personal insight with practical leadership tools. Last week, our cohort of 13 came together for their first in person module, centred around Leading Self. Across two immersive days, they explored authentic leadership, core strengths and values, and translating personal insight into real world impact. This programme is just one of the ways we invest in people who bring drive, talent, performance, and commitment to our business. We’re pleased to welcome two new directors to our Birmingham office as part of our strategic expansion in the region. Darren Quincey brings over 30 years of experience across the construction and property sector, with deep expertise in education, logistics, commercial and accommodation. His practical, client-side insight will be key to delivering impactful outcomes across the Midlands. Gary Williamson joins with nearly three decades in building surveying, having worked across every asset type - from one-bed flats to major industrial estates. His leadership experience and PBSA expertise, including the 814-bed Crown Place project, will help us grow our services and mentor future talent.
