We have a new DEI Chair! The amazing Steveland Daniels has been part of our DEI working group for the last 18 months. He's now taking on the role to influence Immersive Labs so we continue to uphold our value of inclusion and diversify our world of work. Please join us in congratulating Steveland! We can't wait to see his impact on the business and beyond.
December saw the quarterly wrap-up for our awesome Content team – the stars behind the labs our customers love. Over Q4, the team was sensational and therefore had many MANY nominations for the Content Culture Awards. An award is given for each of our values and our content shining stars exemplified these in spades. Please join us in congratulating Alex Seymour – winner of The Drive Award, Corisande Martinez – winner of The Inclusivity Award, Charlotte Ball – winner of The Customer Obsessed Award, and Helen Payne – winner of The One Team Award. They each took away the much sought-after Golden Unicorn Award (3D printed by our own Kev). We want to give a special mention to Corisande, who received some amazing comments for her award after being with us for just three months: “She gives people a space where they can be themselves” and “displays all the attributes of a thoughtful and caring leader who has the wellbeing of their team(s) at the forefront of their decision making”.
BuiltIn Boston sat down with Samantha Sadler, Sales Development Manager at Immersive Labs, to understand why she joined and what sets our sales team apart.
The slopes took a piste of a lot of Immersers heart over the holiday season. It really was the ski-son to be jolly... ok, we'll stop now. But we had a great break, we're all fully refreshed and ready to go for 2023! Let's get this snow on the road...
Our tech blog is a great resource for thought leadership within the world of engineering. Our VP of Engineering, Chris Newton, gives us some insights into how we improved system performance here at Immersive Labs. More than that, this project has been the catalyst for embedding performance culture and mindset across the entire product organization. Read all about it in the link below!
Alice made a New Year's resolution to start a new hobby. Rather handily, she used her Immersive Labs 'Learn Anything' benefit to learn pottery. Her first class was making a cookie jar... and she absolutely loved it. Want to bring your New Year's resolutions to life? Check out our open vacancies to take advantage of this benefit and kick off 2023 in style! #lifeatimmersive #benefits

Immersive Labs stepped into summer this year with a Step Challenge throughout July. There were 80 steppers across 10 teams battling it out for the glory of The Immersive Labs Step Champions. There was blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of sunshine to contend with. Along the way, the steppers took over 17 million steps, enough steps for us to stroll to Bali from Bristol (wouldn't that be nice). Throughout the challenge, steppers were raising money for the charity Mind. It's a charity close to all of our hearts and the work they do is very important in this post-pandemic world. In the end, there could only be one winning team, and that spot was taken by 'Walking 9 to 5'! Well done to everyone that took part and as you can see from the pictures we had some great weather across the globe throughout the challenge!
One of the many great perks of working at Immersive Labs is our company-matched fundraising. James Williams, one of our super talented Quality engineers, took part in the Bantham Boomerang Swim last week. He ended up raising over £1000 for Level Water with the addition of Immersive Labs' matched contribution. 'My swim took place on Friday evening as the sun began to set, heading off from the beach into the River Avon. We swam with the tide up the river and watched the sun drop behind the trees until the tide turned and took us back down to the beach. It was a great feeling to get out of the water as it turned to dusk, with lots of very happy, smiling people who'd completed the swim. I look forward to doing this event again for sure. It was a stunning part of the world to swim in and to enjoy a beer on the beach afterwards!' Want to find out more about the perks of working at Immersive Labs?
