The Informed Games - A Celebration of Community With the inaugural Informed Games now complete, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on what’s been an incredibly rewarding experience for all our colleagues who took part. Beyond the fun and friendly competition, one of the most meaningful outcomes has been our collective commitment to supporting each other, focusing on improving both our mental and physical wellbeing, while raising vital funds for our charity partner Manchester Mind. We’re proud to dedicate our efforts to the health and wellbeing of our people and the communities around us. It’s been inspiring to see so many colleagues embracing more movement, more conversation, and more connection in their daily routines. Social connection and communities are vital for wellbeing, offering support systems that help us manage life’s challenges. Workplaces like ours play a key role by providing belonging, companionship, and emotional support.
In our latest Becoming Informed feature, Supplier Manager Wajih Mourad shares his story of joining the business later in his career and leveraging the strength in experience. Here, he talks about embracing new challenges and opportunities, the supportive and positive culture at Informed, and looking forward to the future. “Joining a new company at the age of 58 might seem unusual to some, but my experience at Informed has been a testament to how age and experience can be valuable assets, not just in finance, but in any industry. “Having worked across various companies internationally, both at home and abroad in Turkey, Cyprus, and Syria, I have encountered many different corporate cultures. My wide experience has shown me that many organisations talk about fostering a positive staff experience, but at Informed Solutions, they truly live their values. The culture here is unique: it’s friendly, supportive, and focused on creating an environment with no blame. Every team member, regardless of their role, is encouraged to grow and contribute in meaningful ways. “My time at Informed has exceeded all my expectations. It has been a fulfilling experience where I’ve had the chance to learn, contribute, and grow. As I look ahead to the future, I’m filled with excitement about the opportunities still to come. I am proud to be part of a company that doesn’t just talk the talk but walks the walk when it comes to employee satisfaction, career development, and innovation.”
Supporting #TimeToTalk Day, our Charities Team hosted a Coffee and Cake hour in our Manchester and London offices, and raising awareness and money for partner charity Manchester Mind. Sometimes it's easier to say we're 'fine' than to share how we really feel, and many people still do not feel able to talk openly about their mental health, fearing judgement. One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year. By bringing together our colleagues and encouraging people to step away from their desks for an hour, we played a small part in supporting the cause of Time to Talk Day by making the space for people to have a chat, speak openly, and create an open, encouraging and comfortable environment for people to feel empowered to seek help should they need to. A big thank you to everyone involved and for showing-off some unique baking skills, with a variety of treats available for those with a sweet tooth. The team is proud to raise awareness and vital funds for Manchester Mind, who work to address the effects of poverty, insecurity, and poor physical health on people’s mental health.

As 2023 draws to a close, it was great to bring our colleagues together for our annual Winter Conference, with plenty of festive cheer and celebration along the way! Getting our teams together (and filling a cinema) allowed us to reflect on and celebrate the innovation, collaboration, resilience, and achievement of the past 12 months. Alongside this it was a great chance to thank everyone for their support and to look to the future, as we continue to scale and innovate, entering new markets and forging exciting, mutually beneficial partnerships at home and abroad. Moreover, it offered the opportunity for us to pay respect to our people and celebrate their personal development, and for everybody to revel together in how our contribution to our clients’ success is helping make the world a safer, greener, healthier, and smarter place to live. Not a bad way to say goodbye to 2023 and look forward to 2024!
