We are excited to share MSCI has new external relationships in the UK to help accelerate our improvements in recruiting diverse talent for entry-level roles. Rare, founded in 2005, helps over 10,000 diverse candidates access elite professions throughout their network with 80 prestigious organizations. In early 2021 we plan to run a London internship for 100% diverse talent. #100Black Interns, which launched in August 2020, has brought together UK investment management firms to provide front-office internships opportunities to young, educated Black people trying to break into the city. Currently 200 companies, including MSCI, have committed to offer a paid internship for 2021. We are proud to be involved with both Rare & #100Black Interns, which aim to address the chronic underrepresentation of diverse talent in British financial institutions and move towards action to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace for current and future employees. Fireside chat for the Latinos in Finance 12th Annual Finance Bootcamp On Saturday 19 September Henry Fernandez, our CEO at MSCI, was invited by the Latinos in Finance organization to participate in a fireside chat at their 12th annual Finance Bootcamp. LIF Bootcamp educates college and high school students on the various careers and opportunities in the finance industry and expands the pipeline of Latino professionals. Henry talked about his journey to become CEO of MSCI, specifically his experience as a Latino in the finance industry. We're delighted and proud that our founder and CEO played a part in this critical initiative and look forward to further partnership with Latinos in Finance in the future.

On 28 July DCIIA added its voice to the growing number of Candid Conversations about Racism, Diversity & the Path Forward. Michael Andeberhan, one of the founders of MSCI?s Black Leadership Network, and Executive Director in our San Francisco Office, represented the firm and moderated a lively & interactive debate. Other participants, discussed challenges, difficulties, emotions & lessons learned during their personal and professional careers. They also described how they have worked towards their goals as members of the black community offering career advice and positive ways to manage more negative situations. In addressing the needs of organizations, speakers shared best practice which included scheduling Diversity Dialogues ? MSCI?s version of Candid Conversations, training on bias, guidelines for leaders, inviting people to be an ally and show them how, longer term Talent Acquisition and development strategies. MSCI is proud to partner DCIIA & demonstrate not only its commitment but move towards action to creating a more diverse and and inclusive workplace for employees.
INDEX SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2020 ! During July MSCI welcomed 6 new summer interns into Index for the US (x4) and the UK (x2). This new talent pipeline are working remotely on specific projects and are spending the summer learning about MSCI, the products we offer to the finance community, our culture and our values. With access to learning resources and opportunities to join live training sessions, senior exposure and networking with colleagues from across the organisation, combined with specific project objectives, deliverables, and a support structure, these interns are setup for success!
