Find the full report here: https://bit.ly/2X2avqU We're very proud of everyone at Next and we want to say a huge thank you to all our people. They have shown great resilience and adaptation during this time. Over the last 13 weeks we've been able to gain greater clarity on our online capabilities during lockdown and the state of consumer demands. We are now more optimistic about the outlook for the full year than we were at the height of the pandemic. Here are the key points: Full price sales in the second quarter were down -28% against last year. This is much better than we expected and an improvement on the best-case scenario given in our April Trading Statement. Online Warehouse picking and despatch capacity is now back at normal levels and UK and Eire stores are now open and more robust. Full year profit before tax, based on our new central sales scenario, is now estimated at £195m . New central scenario year end net debt is forecast to reduce by c.£460m

We're still going to be celebrating and supporting the LGBT+ community throughout June 2020 in a safe and fun way. Next will not be able to physically celebrate Pride events in 2020 but will still want people to bring their whole selves to Next so they can build stronger relationships and grow! Pride at Next was launched back in 2019 and the purpose is to empower LGBT Plus individuals to collaborate and share experiences to ensure that they can be the very best they can and achieve their full potential in a positive and supportive working environment. We want our people to feel safe, work safe and are safe so we asked the Next Warehouse teams what they think of the new safety measures so they can still work during Covid-19. This video will give you a first hand description of what they think to the new measures and why they want to come back and work for Next during the pandemic. There has been lots of change and improvements to make sure that staff safety is always the number one priority. We've put additional social distancing measures in our warehouses to ensure that are staff are always 2 metres apart. This includes staggered entry and a mone way system in warehouse aisles to ensure there's no crossover of staff. There's extra sanitiser for all our warehouse people, we have installed new sinks so people can frequently wash their hands and extra seating in the staff rest areas that are at least 2 metres apart. For a closer look at how we’ll begin safely taking orders, click here: https://www.next.co.uk/how-we-are-working-safely-for-you https://youtu.be/Sin3JOg6TtU

Today we launched our 'Wellbeing at Home' hub to help support our people with their mental wellbeing during Covid-19. It's a big part of our culture at Next and of course we don’t want this to stop because everyone is at home. The hub is somewhere that our employees and families can access lots of different guides, videos, hints and tips. It will keep on growing, full of employee recommendations and is free. A complete coincidence we launched this on #WorldHelathyDay, but we think very appropriate. Yes, it is for Next Employees but there's lots of information on the site that we think would be helpful for everyone! Please feel free to check it out to: https://bit.ly/2x8Fwjf
