This International Women's Day we were so excited to have the opportunity to feature in an ITN productions piece on breaking the bias. Hear about Diversity and Inclusion at Newton from some of our own.
Recently Newton gathered together for our Annual Conference, focused on the theme of 'becoming who we want to be'. After a year of waiting, it was amazing to finally have the chance to come together and celebrate our people, old and new. The day consisted of a number of speeches and workshops, and we’d like to say a special thanks to the courageous speakers who took to the stage for the N-spire talks, touching on some difficult yet hugely important topics. We’re now excited to share a summary of the day and we hope you enjoy!
At Newton, diversity and inclusion is celebrated and at the heart of what we do. We want to make Newton a place where everyone feels welcome, included and can thrive, and our internal diversity network plays an important role in this. Recently, the Ethnicity Network held a Fun Day at Thorpe Park to get to know each other outside of the office environment and we're thrilled to share their thoughts and experience!
Here to reinvigorate your podcast feed and rekindle your curiosity, we’re thrilled to announce Newton Talks: The Management & Consultancy Podcast for Curious Minds which launches today! Newton Talks is a refreshingly different interview show. Each episode sees our Director of People, Kate Mills, hand the mic over to a Newton team member with an inquisitive brain for a conversation with an author, thinker or innovator whose big ideas are inspiring them right now. We kick off this mini-series in conversation with Matthew Syed on why we should seek more conflict at work, our second episode is a discussion with Kim Scott exploring the art of getting what you want by saying what you mean, and our final episode of the series features a chat with Sara Sanford on why unconscious bias training doesn't work (and what does). Thanks to our hosts Brad Jennings, Rosanne Furniss and Camilla Wigmore for their curious minds in helping create such interesting discussions. Full of unconventional wisdom that makes for a spectacularly interesting listen, stream or download all episodes here https://

We like to challenge ourselves. And the Newton conference and summer party weekend is a great time to do it. From triathlons to 5k and 10k runs, football to paddle-boarding, we have fun finding out how much we’re capable of. Just like we do at work.
