Unknown territory, unfamiliar issues, huge levels of ambiguity. The overseas module of our leadership development programme stretched our consultants to the max. Read how Gareth Ingram came out the other side all the stronger for it http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMRQ1
When it comes to working at Newton, we never say ‘It can’t be done’. To us, there’s always a way. We come up with original solutions to complex problems – the kind that, sometimes, we’ve never seen before. How do we do it? By challenging each other’s thinking, asking big questions and working as a team.
Kicks. Fun. Good times. We never underestimate their business value. That’s why we switch off regularly with activity days, catch-ups and weekends away. Whether it’s a Scalextric race, a yoga retreat or a mountain climb, our informal get-togethers mean we get to know each other better. And when it comes to actual work, this kind of downtime helps make our teams unstoppable.
Take 50 Newton staff. Add 70 16-18-year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds. Combine with tons of mock interviews, workshops, uni-life experience and one-to-one advice. What do you get? Young people heading to a new academic year with bigger aspirations and new-found self belief. Our first summer school has inspired us too. Next year we aim to make it bigger and better.
Having a positive impact is at the core of everything we do at Newton. We strive to find solutions that improve the lives of the general public, be that through healthcare or everyday shopping trips. Imagine what the Newton you could do http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQoFm
We were delighted to win gold at the Training Journal Awards, for 2018’s Best Leadership Development Programme! We are so proud to have been recognised for a shift in mind-set that’s taken our projects to another level, creating real value and impact for our clients, employees and the wider community. Congratulations to the team who've worked on it, and of course our colleagues on the programme, who have all helped make this project come to life! The judges said... "Demonstrating a total commitment from the top of the organisation to their people, this programme goes beyond creative" and "It stretched, energised and developed already good leaders transforming them from functional leaders into top level business leaders" Our Partner Steve Wilson commented... "The blindingly fast speed at which you grow and learn is phenomenal" Find out more about our award winning leadership programme at: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQbtR

We're excited to announce that Newton has been shortlisted for a National Business Award (NBA). This is the fourth year in a row for us, but a new category. We're one of 10 finalists in the running for a Market Gravity Innovation Award for our work in local government adult and children's social care. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vIKp9
Throughout June, Newton will once again proudly support SSAFA's Big Brew Up event. SSAFA Forces Help provides financial, practical and emotional assistance to anyone that is currently serving or has ever served in the Army, Navy or RAF, and their families. As our HQ is quite small, we've decided to turn what is normally a one day event into a whole month filled with tea and cake! We'll be donating money every time we make a hot drink, as well as channelling our inner Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood by bringing in baked goodies for us all to enjoy while donating to this amazing cause.
We are delighted to announce that last week TheJobCrowd ranked Newton the number 1 consulting firm for graduates to work for in 2015/16 and 18th in the 100 top companies overall.
