We are proud to announce that we are now B Corp certified, joining a growing group of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. Certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards, we demonstrate our commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit. The B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The certification process is rigorous, with applicants required to reach a benchmark score of over 80 while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. To complete the certification, we needed to legally embed our commitment to purpose beyond profit in our company articles. Recent attention on the advertising industry makes TrunkBBI B Corp certification a notable step and signals a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in the sector. Jon Butler, CEO adds “We are thrilled to join the B Corp community. The advertising industry is a big contributor to the climate emergency. We feel strongly that we must play our part to achieve carbon net zero by 2038. B Corp isn’t just about the environment. It’s about how you run your business, treating your staff well and the type of clients you work with too."
On our very first attempt, we’ve only gone and landed at number 20 on Campaign Magazine’s “Best Places to Work 2024” list! It’s a particularly big one for us because it shows we’re prioritising our number one asset – our people. So, how did we get recognised? The “Best Places to Work” program celebrates companies that create supportive and empowering work environments for their staff. When evaluating a business, Campaign Magazine calculates an overall score by measuring leadership, career development opportunities, work-life balance, and job satisfaction. Power to our people Our people voiced their thoughts on various work matters in a comprehensive and confidential survey. And what makes this recognition really special is that our staff influenced 80% of the score! Our ranking is more than just a number, though. It reflects the real experiences of those who work at TrunkBBI every day. It’s also a sign that our efforts to build a transparent, inclusive, and nurturing environment are resonating with the team. Plus, being known as one of the top places to work bolsters our reputation among potential new talent, as well as clients who value partnering with businesses that treat their staff well. This is just the beginning for us. We’re committed to maintaining the standards that brought us to this point and are constantly exploring new ways to improve our work culture. We believe that investing in our environment makes our business successful and helps
We’ve been awarded the IPA People First badge! On Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re proud to share our IPA People First Promise Badge of Honour award. The award recognises TrunkBBI's dedication to supporting our team's mental health and wellbeing. What's the People First Promise all about? It's an initiative launched by IPA President Josh Krichefski that encourages companies to prioritise their employees' mental health and wellbeing. 🔍 How it works: We were tasked with showcasing our commitment across three key areas: empowerment, prevention, and support. ✨ How we support our colleagues: Empowerment We provide continuous training and development opportunities to support our team's career wellbeing. We know personal and professional growth is crucial for people to feel a sense of achievement and purpose. Prevention We've gained valuable insights into our team's values and needs through engagement surveys. These insights have guided initiatives that boost company confidence, leadership, and social connection. The initiative improved our engagement score from 70 to 76%, beating industry benchmarks by 8%. Support We've introduced 'Spill', a mental health platform offering access to qualified therapists and resources. Plus, our CEO Jon Butler's initiative of offering a 'life-balance' half day off each month. And to top it off, we have our very own personal trainer who comes into the office twice a week for sessions. Keen to learn more? Head to the IPA website.

TrunkBBI produces nostalgic film for Stockport County’s 140-year kit launch To mark the occasion of Stockport County Football Club turning 140 years old, we joined forces with County once again to produce a film that pays tribute to the club’s remarkable journey. The film also launches an exclusive, limited-edition kit, with just 1883 available to fans. Stockport County, one of the oldest clubs in the Football League, was founded in 1883 as Heaton Norris Rovers. The club was later renamed Stockport County in 1890 and has become an integral member of the EFL and local community. The film brings together former legends and current players, taking us on a journey through some of the highs and lows of the club over the years. The script for the film was crafted by our Senior Copywriter, John Hewitt, who has remained a devoted County supporter and season ticket holder for over 50 years. John’s profound understanding of the club’s soul shines through his writing, capturing the essence of Stockport County’s rich history.

Earlier this month, we were invited by the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) to London to celebrate our achievement of obtaining a CPD Gold Accreditation for our professional development programme & investment into our employees throughout 2022. Our Head of HR Kerrie Mooney and Head of Community Lindsay Jones attended the celebratory event with 36 other agencies who also achieved the highly coveted CPD Gold Accreditation. As part of the event, Kerrie featured on a panel discussion, where she shared her experience of our commitment to CPD and why it means so much to us as an agency to have a clear and robust learning and development programme for all employees.
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious gold standard in continuous professional development (CPD) by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), the industry body for the advertising sector which is incorporated by Royal charter. More than 300 agencies are part of the IPA and only 36 achieve the gold standard after submitting their CPD programmes for evaluation. This puts TrunkBBI in the top 12% of agencies for learning and development. Feedback from the IPA was stellar. They said, “Right off the bat, we can see the culture of CPD instilled by the MD.” Additionally, they said, ““Their record keeping shows an enviable CPD culture and the importance of collecting the data to show the evidence that CPD is contributing to business success.” Jon Butler, TrunkBBI’s CEO, said: “At TrunkBBI, we foster a culture of professional development.
