Nando’s Tube Adverts To Feature Glassdoor Reviews

Nando’s, the UK's #20 Best Place To Work, and the highest rated restaurant chain in the rankings, will be using Glassdoor employee reviews as part of a major London recruitment advertising drive. Going live today (13th March), Nando's will place over 1000 ads across London Underground tube lines for the next two weeks, featuring reviews left by employees in the last year. The recruitment campaign will be the first time Glassdoor has featured prominently in any advertising activity in the UK and the very first time a company has used Glassdoor's reviews as the focus of their external recruitment drive. We caught up with Vicky Quin, Head of Talent, to find out why they've teamed up with Glassdoor in order to recruit the best talent. Q Firstly, to be a top 20 place to work and the highest rated UK restaurant is an incredible achievement. How did you get there? Nando’s is a special place to work for a number of reasons, but none more so than the Pride, Passion, Integrity and Courage of our 12,000 Nandocas. As a business we genuinely believe in supporting our Nandocas to be the very best they can be. We’re as passionate about growing someone within the business as we are as growing them in their personal life too. Q Why is it so powerful to use employee reviews as the main focus of your advertising campaign? I think of it like this. We live in a world where prior to purchasing a new pair of earphones, going on holiday or getting a new job, we want to check out reviews to find out what it’s really like. This is important because we need to hear first-hand from the people that have purchased, worn or worked for a company we’re looking to apply to. So, it simply made sense to use reviews from people that actually worked for us. Q How important has Glassdoor become as a facilitator in enhancing your reputation and securing the very best talent?
