Does Allstate offer dental insurance?

Pros

Good medical, dental and vision benefits.

Cons

Front line supervisors are very unprofessional and lack required leadership training.

Advice to Management

It would be beneficial to the front line employees if the immediate supervisors were trained with actual leadership skills. They should also be trained on unconscious bias. There are so many cliques! Its just ridiculous and soooooooo unprofessional. The morale sucks!

Does Allstate offer a wellness program?

Pros

Starting wage is competitive. Good wellness program. Some benefits are good, like LTD, STD, 401(k). Depending on your location, the ability to work from home on occasion or full-time is possible. CEO and executive cabinet are very good.

Cons

If exempt status, be prepared to work extra hours daily and weekends. Inconsistency in middle and lower management ranks regarding carrying out company and division missions. Very poor employee/work performance evaluation system. (e.g.- don't expect a raise each year!) Health plan out of pocket expenses go up dramatically every year for employees. Even though company contributes approximately 80% for employee only and approximately $500 to the HSA annually, the deductible and coinsurance out of pocket keeps rising each year, so you go backwards each year, especially with no pay increase. Some areas have frequent overtime.

Advice to Management

1. Give cost of living adjustments (COLA) each year in addition to work performance evaluations or improve that whole system. 2. Middle and lower management really aren't skilled enough to help develop employees to reach expected goals, which in some cases are unachievable on a consistent basis. 3. Get a better healthcare plan. 4. Company needs to take a neutral position on special interest group organizations within Allstate culture. (e.g.- veteran only, women only, LGTBQ only groups) It's fine to have diversification within the company, but they don't need to promote special interest groups over others. That doesn't serve to unite, only divide.

Good wellness program.
