The onboarding process was very smooth and we had interaction with many people from that departments within the company

      Cons

Welcome kit should be given to interns

      Pros

I enjoyed most/all of my co-workers...a hard working group!

      Cons

Two Insights: 1. Very high turnover - when interviewing be sure to ask what is the average tenure of the team (don't include leadership). If 2 yrs or less, this is a huge red flag. Their typical hiring plan is to hire tons of people, put them on a 6-9 month project, then lay them off. Bottom line - if you are not assigned to a client you have a target on your back. 2. 401k match - guess what, there is no company match at all for the first year. I have never worked for a company with such a bad policy. But it goes back to my first point...most people are fired before they get to their 2nd anniversary, so the company doesn't have to pay out towards your future pension.

      Good company to work

      Pros

Employee friendly, campus, people, young workforce

      Cons

IT asset team is pain, slow onboarding process

Good company to work for, has changed a lot recently

      Pros

Good culture and strong pipeline of work in most areas with a few exceptions (retail, FS) Benefit of a large organisation and name brand

      Cons

Lost the high-performance management consulting rigor Invent had in the early days. Quality of new hires and performance has dropped. Also strategy seems to have changed so Invent is not a management consultancy in its own right, shift towards being a support function for the wider group e.g. supported long tech projects instead of interesting strategy or transformation work.

      Pros

      - great work life balance as most of the time you aren’t actually doing much work - very flexible with24/7 wfh option and working abroad - generally people are quite nice to work with

      Cons

      - Career development - they have limited promotion slots to 1 space per 40 in grade, especially so on the junior end. They prioritise VP’s and Director progression and ignore anyone below managing consultant. As a result of which, attrition has been the highest I’ve ever seen and the 5 years I’ve been here. They are mostly losing their best talent and couldn’t seem to care as they still have a recruitment budget that “comes from a separate pot” they can’t use to reward people for their hard earned efforts and keep them around - Compensation - they are below the market average and have been for years, pay freezes for more than a year and over the course of my 4+ years with above average performance reviews, 2 of which came in the top 1% of the company, I have only ever had 1 pay raise and 1 promotion Learning & Development - their approach to developing yourself is solely through project experience, they will use a throw away line that they have some online courses but the quality of them are less than YouTube videos.

After feeling stuck in the routine of a conventional job, I made the leap into consulting — and Capgemini Invent has proven to be the right place for that transformation. From day one, the onboarding experience was exceptional. The buddy system and the two-month onboarding program, The Institute, helped me build a strong foundation and connect with peers across departments. What surprised me most was the business side of consulting — the effort behind project acquisition and the importance of positioning yourself for the right opportunities. It’s a dynamic environment where you truly steer your own ship. The culture is open, collaborative, and supportive. I’ve regained a sense of playfulness in my work, while also sharpening my independence and growth mindset. My first client project was challenging but rewarding, and I’ve already seen significant personal and professional development. If you're looking for a place that challenges you, supports your growth, and gives you the freedom to shape your own path — Capgemini Invent is worth considering.

      Cons

Project Staffing Transparency: The process of getting staffed on projects can feel opaque; feedback on rejections is often missing. Navigating a Large Organization: Requires strong self-leadership to build your brand and find your way within a complex structure.
