What is the salary like at Kroger?

The pay is decent for teens wanting a job; work life balance is good, tuition reimbursement

High turnover rate, occasional cold communication, poor work/life balance, bad work days and hours, no room for professional growth, outdated technology, no pay increase aside from inflation-countering raises with an endless increase in responsibilities.

Good pay, great benefits, you are mostly left alone as long as you keep up with the work orders for your assigned stores. Will pay overtime when it's necessary. They do a good job of promoting within.

On call rotation. A necessary evil but everyone hates it. As with any refrigeration, job hours can be long sometimes.

I had an extremely supportive manager and worked on talented teams throughout my time at Kroger. Company culture is a plus with great Associate Resource Groups, in-office events, and social activities. Kroger has kept its DEI commitment while other companies have retracted theirs.

Recent budget cuts have decreased the quality of work. Promotions and raises are very hard to come by, and pay is low by industry standards.
