What is the hiring process like at Securitas?

      Pros

I was giving my uniform and other supplies relatively quickly. With security, you are almost always guaranteed a job regardless of the current economic circumstances.

      Cons

      - The interview process took 2 months because I got ghosted by the hiring manager. After trying to get back from them, they emailed me out of nowhere asking me if I was still interested in the position. - I applied for a position that offered a higher salary than the position I was offered. - The interview and onboarding process is long and arduous because you are required to take quizzes and exams to get certified. - The healthcare provider options are terrible and, quite frankly, criminal; the cheapest option they offered was an option requiring one to pay 180 per paycheck. - Unsuportive general manager. I asked my GM to move me post and he refused, stating that I need to work a minimum of 6 months in my current post to ask for a transfer.

      Pros

Some locations offer higher pay. There's no real interview process. If you have a pulse, the interview is then explaining what you will be doing and gaining your agreement to it. If you do not work out at one location, regardless of what you did wrong: they will recycle you to another location.

      Cons

If you do not work out at one location, regardless of what you did wrong: they will recycle you to another location. You end up with entire teams of awful employees. If your relief calls off or does not come in; you are now required to stay and cover their shift as mandated overtime (they will work you 16 hour days all week, they do not care. Little to no training. Leadership, management & HR have no training or experience. It's very obvious. They just fill the positions with bodies, there is no concern for actual experience or skill required. Especially when it comes to FMLA & ADA accommodations (of course most people leave the company within 6 months). Extremely HIGH turnover rates. Few rarely make it past 1 year (those of us who do are very tough & thick skinned).
