What is the hiring process like at the LEGO Group?

      Great Marketing Internship Experience

      Marketing intern
      Former intern
Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Positive, diverse culture, strong business exposure for a beginner in the field. Strong focus on personal career development, motivating & supportive managers, great benefits. Opportunities to explore other areas of the business.

      Cons

Very limited junior/graduate career opportunities not communicated during the hiring process.

      Mixed feelings.

      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Good culture overall - Nice benefits - good infrastructure - if you're lucky you may land on a nice team

      Cons

      - mobility support for internationals is a fantasy which soon becomes a neverending nightmare: if you start running into problems (and you will), they'll absolutely leave you to your own resources, despite their bold promises in the recruitment process - don't walk the talk: like any big corp, lots of talk on work balance and valuing employees, but when you actually need it, you'll realise soon enough there is close to none support nor empathy

      The company that cares!

      Pros

I have had a fantastic experience working at this company. They genuinely care about their employees and provide an extremely professional onboarding process. The company is deeply committed to learning and development, offering plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement. It's a supportive environment where people are encouraged to thrive.

      Cons

The hiring process can take time but the good part is that it gives candidates time to learn about the organisation.

A Great Place to Work – Fantastic Team, Flexible Work, and a Culture of Respect

      Continuous improvement business partner
      Current contractor
      Singapore
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Great company, great people, and a wonderful work culture. The environment is genuinely supportive, and collaboration across teams is natural and encouraged. - The recruitment experience was smooth and efficient—consultants kept me updated at every step, with quick follow-ups usually within a day or two. - The hybrid working model is one of the best I’ve experienced. Flexible working hours provide excellent work-life balance. - There’s a strong focus on respect and well-being, which is truly embedded in the company culture.

      Cons

      - The role I’m in currently doesn’t offer a long-term position, which could be a consideration for those seeking long-term career paths. - Office desks fill up fast—arriving early is the best way to secure a good spot.

      Great place to work!

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      London, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Genuinely a great employer! The culture is great, hugely diverse and colleagues are some of the best. The people make this company what it is today.

      Cons

They spend too much time on hiring new talent rather than retaining staff and rewarding tenure. Long service awards and benefits don’t reflect the loyalty of employees.

      Pros

      - The brand is alive and creates a very nice organisational anchor - People needs and wellbeing are considered and catered to - There is ambition and a drive for innovation in ways of working - The onboarding experience as a new hire is exciting and fun

      Cons

      - Complex organisation that it takes time to get to know

      Recommend
      CEO approval

      Pros

Everything is fairly great, and benchmarks well above industry standard

      Cons

HR process and rules regarding internal movements are a pain

A Fortress: Hiring Process Needs Work

      Assistant store manager
      Current employee
      Richmond, VA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

I do not have a pro because I have not received any positive engagement.

      Cons

Hiring process is opaque and impersonal. Rejection emails don’t even specify which role you’re being declined from—very confusing. Extremely difficult to connect with anyone at Lego, even on LinkedIn. External candidates get the silent treatment, especially in new regions, seem almost invisible.
