I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AHS Staffing (Frisco, TX) in Aug 2024
Interview
In my experience, I only had one round of interviews. They were super welcoming and kind! It was a great interview and lasted about 45-50 minutes. I had the opportunity to meet with different members of leadership.
Bad Interview Experience:
I recently went through a four-stage interview process, and while I was hopeful at first, the experience became increasingly frustrating. The first three interviews were with recruiting and managers — they were engaging and relevant, focusing on my experience, skills, and how I could contribute to the team.
Then came the fourth and final interview was with VP of HR, which was scheduled for 8 a.m, then at 7:30 I was changed to 8:15 am. The questions she asked were incredibly basic — straight out of a textbook and felt generic and disconnected from the rest of the process.
What made it worse was that this type of screening should have happened at the very beginning, not after I’d already invested time and energy into three prior interviews. It gave the impression that the company’s hiring process was disorganized and that they hadn’t taken the time to coordinate internally.
By the end of it, I felt disappointed and undervalued. It was a letdown after what had started as a promising opportunity.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AHS Staffing (Calgary, AB) in May 2025
Interview
The interview was highly conversational and focused heavily on detailed, reflective responses. They consistently pushed for expanded, example-rich answers and wanted candidates to elaborate extensively, showcasing not just experience but strategic thinking and soft skills. Simply answering the question wasn’t enough—they were clearly looking for strong communicators who could articulate not just what they did, but why it mattered and how it impacted broader team or organizational goals. The tone was professional but very much “sell yourself without modesty.”
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked how I would handle a situation where a coworker clearly didn’t like me.
