The interview process for the internship role at AMD was well-structured and focused on both technical and behavioral aspects. It started with an online assessment covering programming and problem-solving skills. This was followed by a technical interview where I was asked questions about my academic projects, basic circuit design, and problem-solving. Finally, a behavioral interview focused on teamwork and communication skills.

Question 1
Design a 2-bit Gray Code counter. Explain the logic behind the transition from one state to the next and implement it using Verilog
it was really good, encouraging and interviewer was really helpful and informative and patient. the process was also streamlined, and wasn’t messy, but i wasn’t prepared enough. The interviewer was very informed and asked good questions and helped me prepare better for next ones.

Interview
Easy resume shortlist. Two interview rounds. First round focused on detailed STA concepts and digital design fundamentals. I prepared well but couldn't qualify for the second round despite giving my best effort
The interview will consist of one technical round with a panel of 2-3 engineers from the hiring team. It will be conducted virtually and require a computer with internet access.
