The hiring process at Abide Financial takes an average of 4 days when considering 3 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Software Engineer had the quickest hiring process (on average 1 day), whereas Internal Talent Acquisition and On-Boarding Specialist roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 7 days).
Applied directly online through their website. Was asked to complete a small project parsing data, which took a few hours. Submitted the application was in contact with HR the whole time.
A week later no update. Two weeks later I was told by HR they are chasing for feedback. Three weeks later, no response to my emails and zero update on my application.
Very unprofessional since I spent a lot of my own time to complete their task, for them to not even give feedback, and stop responding!
Last message "Sorry for the delay I will get back to you early next week latest!" - 1/12/2017
It is now 20/12/17. After sending the project 10/11/17.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Abide Financial (Bristol, England) in May 2016
Interview
It was a two stage interview, 1st with the Head of HR, and then with the Head of HR and the CEO. Both were pleasant experiences, they tested my knowledge of the company, and what I could bring to the organisation, but nothing was awkward. I really enjoyed both stages.

Question 1
How do you find candidates who aren't actively looking for new opportunities?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Abide Financial (Bristol, England) in Oct 2014
Interview
Job was posted on StackOverFlow and required candidates request the software challenge project along with their CV and cover letter. The job description is reflective of their attitude: practical and creative.
The project itself was indicative of the general work they do, it involved fixing and improving an existing data analysis application.
The interview is solely based in this project, both the decision to interview and the interview itself.a it was a breath of fresh air. No stagnant silly interview questions (yep, no weaknesses, 5 yr corporate bla, or similar BS). Everything was practical.
It was two hours, a bit about myself, then general discussion about the company: here I know I didn't have enough questions, but for me, I only ask questions that affect my decision in the event of a positive answer. Everything else had been covered.
The project walk through took an hour and focussed on why I did various things to the code.
The CEO's dogs are the first interviewers-two lovely, quiet, labradoodles. They're nice guys and I'll be applying again in time to come-just have to defeat those other candidates (and nerves).
