You interviewed with us during a volatile time in the life cycle of a small start-up, and therefore we weren't able to process applications and interviews nearly as quickly as we would have liked. Part of that is the simply the effort involved in recruiting, but another large component of it was the uncertainty we faced at the time with regards to direction, funding, and a host of other small company concerns. We have made a lot of improvements to our recruitment process since your experience in 2016, but of course there is always more work to do. As for the existence of the position - we can assure you it exists! We have someone fulfilling that role right now (if not necessarily with the exact title), he's been with us for over 2 years. Going forward in 2019 we have more resources, better tools, and a crystal clear objective: build the world's first supersonic business jet.
