I recently had the displeasure of interviewing with Aifi, and I feel compelled to share my utterly disappointing experience. From start to finish, the process was a masterclass in unprofessionalism and inefficiency.
Firstly, the scheduling was a nightmare. After weeks of back-and-forth emails, the interview was scheduled at an inconvenient time, with little regard for my availability. It seemed as though their recruitment team lacked basic calendar management skills or consideration for candidates' schedules.
The actual interview was nothing short of abysmal. The panel arrived late, disheveled, and not one of them bothered to introduce themselves properly. It was clear from the onset that they were underprepared, fumbling through a haphazard set of questions that bore little relevance to the job description. Instead of a structured conversation, it felt like a random assortment of unrelated queries, demonstrating a shocking lack of preparation and respect for the candidate's time and effort.
Moreover, the interviewers exhibited a stunning level of unprofessionalism, interrupting me mid-answer and even engaging in sidebar conversations among themselves, completely disregarding me. Their demeanor was cold and dismissive, creating an incredibly uncomfortable atmosphere that screamed of unapologetic arrogance.
To top it all off, their communication post-interview was nonexistent. Despite follow-up emails, I received no response, not even the common courtesy of a rejection notice. This complete lack of closure speaks volumes about the company's culture and values, or rather, the absence thereof.
In an era where companies tout their commitment to talent and inclusivity, Aifi stands as a stark reminder of how NOT to conduct an interview. Save yourself the frustration and seek opportunities elsewhere, where mutual respect and professionalism are more than just buzzwords. My advice to Aifi: take a long, hard look at your hiring process and remember that the way you treat candidates reflects directly on your brand. A truly disappointing experience that left a sour taste and a clear warning to others – proceed with extreme caution.
