      Customer Success Manager Interview

      17 Jan 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Detroit, MI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Airbase (Detroit, MI)

      Interview

Hiring process was a lot. First one is the basic interview with the HR team, then with the hiring manager, the marketing leader, then you have to compete an assessment, which was basically a scenario and how you would handle it and then the last step is a peer interview. After my peer interview I was ghosted and the company never let me know what was going on, which was very disappointing because I went through the full process and then ghosted for no reason and it made no sense.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Airbase

      Interview

Normal length , few rounds of interviews , and a mock qbr. Met with the HR screener, hiring manager and peer. Discussions were great, I learned a lot about what was expected of the person they were looking for, about the company core values and the great benefits they offered.

      Application

The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Airbase

      Interview

The recruiter was great and asked thoughtful questions. Little did I know that I would have to meet with five more people before a decision would be made (manager, team member, CFO, COO, in-person lunch). At one point the recruiter told me a decision would be made that day and I would know the following day. The next day arrived and I learned the COO wanted to meet instead. Although really nice, the executives were both late and complained about how busy they were. I was really confused why I had to meet with either of them at all. It seems they want their hands in everything and don't trust their managers to make hiring decisions. This makes me wonder what other decisions have to go through multiple layers before something is allowed to be done in the company? The whole process took 6 weeks.
