2 months of interviews, with an unclear process that continued to change depending on who I spoke with, and weeks of lapse in communication. The role also evolved and after 6 interviews, I am still unsure if I understood the role.
Recruiter 30 min > Hiring Manager 30 min > Cross-fucntional 30 min x3 > Director/Head 30 mins
The overall process was negative, but the experience with people was positive, with exception of the director. Everyone engaged, was thoughtful, and focused heavily on core values and situational questions.
The director showed 5 minutes late to our 30 min call, then proceeded to talk about themself for the next 6 min, and even addressed how lengthy their 'intro' was. It did not feel supportive like previous calls but instead addressed my background as not being aligned with the role (strange as I was this far into the interview process). Needless to say, this through my mindset off for the rest of the call. Was I surprised to not move forward after this, absolutely not.
Also worth mentioning, through all those calls, I was not informed of the salary range, nor did the recruiter ask what I was looking for.
