Met with a recruiter first, then had over an hour interview with the department leader. During the interview, which was extended 30 minutes by his request, I was invited to the next round and was told to expect an invite to a panel interview. Apparently, he changed his mind over the weekend and I received only an automated rejection letter 3 days later. This was the most unprofessional interview experience I've had (as both the interviewer and interviewee) and I will never consider Alcon for employement again.
