The events of the last 18 months have resulted in the greatest public health challenge of our generation, but the impact of the #ClimateEmergency has the potential to be greater still, damaging our planet irreversibly. We know the climate crisis is impacting human health – from air pollution to flooding, extreme heat to drought – and we are seeing a rise in chronic conditions such as heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory illnesses. At AstraZeneca, we are on track to achieving our ambition of zero carbon emissions from our global operations by 2025 and ensuring our value chain is carbon negative by 2030. We’ve already reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 60% since 2015. This year, with G7, G20, and COP26, there is a unique opportunity to achieve greater global collaboration. 2021 is a critical year and we are at a critical point. We have an opportunity to ‘reset’ to create a more sustainable world - together.

I applied online. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (United Kingdom) in Nov 2020

A very nice interview process, with about a month from my initial application to offer. Everyone was very friendly and kept regularly in contact to keep me updated.

Began with a 15 minute phone screen (nothing to worry about, they are just checking you are eligible to work/able to relocate if needed etc).

Then had the interview. It was a panel interview lasting 2.5 hours. The first step was a 30 minute presentation, followed by a 45 minute technical interview (this was quite challenging!) and finally 45 minute values interview.

One question on each of the 5 AstraZeneca Values -When have you had to make a difficult decision where you were met with resistance? Technical questions going deep into the science and ability to analyse data (they presented me with data and asked me to analyse it/design experiments etc)
