      Flight Attendant Interview

      6 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Aug 2016

      Interview

Applied 7/1 , 7/11 invited to do video and 7/28 invited to face to face. Face to face was in early August. I was flown in so I arrived super early which I thought was a good look. Once the interviewers and other candidates arrived we sat at tables of about 8 ppl and did a group activity. Several times they made us take deep breaths and said they wanted to see the authentic us. My group did not work well together. There were only two ppls input being used for the group responses and the others of us sort of had our own responses written out but the "group leader" didn't want to acknowledge our responses. After the ice breaker they called persons from each group 8 total to do group interviews. We were asked three questions and could answer the 2nd and 3 in any order. The third question was a random question on a card that we couldn't look over until we were ready to answer. They wanted to know about my last travel experience? I told them it was that morning. And they wanted us to be brief. After the group interview we went back into the conference room to see a brief overview of the training expectations, salary then q and a. Everyone was called out one by on to do a " resume review." I was not chosen so my resume review was a walk to the shuttle stop at the front door. Others that were seen in the airport later had an actual one on one interview and were finger printed. I believe my outfit choice could have negatively impacted me, it was business attire but color choice may have been too much. Don't want to give myself away by telling what I had on. I suggest black kitten heels! Other than that I have no suggestions I obviously do not know what it is they are looking for. Only one bilingual speaker in my group was chosen I think that was her saving grace. I also remember being watched as I watched other people speaking but I made sure to be attentive, but I'm thinking I wasn't authentic enough.
