I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2013
Interview
Applied online and waited almost one month to get an email to take a personality test. After the online test they sent another email two months later saying that they wanted me to complete a phone interview which was completely automated and had you answer within three minutes of the beep. After the phone interview, waited for almost two more months to get a phone call that they wanted to bring me down to Dallas. Made the trip out there and had to pay for my own lodging. Interview started with a group activity and writing an easy on who would we bring on a trip and why. After that we were broken up into three groups. My group consisted of me and six other people. Questions were asked and you need to NEED TO listen for what they were asking for. Many of the applicants said what they thought they heard and didn't answer the question fully. After the group interview they did a presentation on how the company works and what to do and wear. When the presentation ended they called people one by one and lead them to the door. This was a sign for me that they were cutting me out. Although I had suffered a massive migraine and suffering dizzy spells and trying to keep a smile on my face while answering my questions I still knew I bombed the interview.
