I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX) in Feb 2023
Interview
For the Face to face interview, you come in and led into a room with other candidates. They check you in for documents and passport. After that you are led to a large room and given assigned seats, in groups. You start with a written assignment, followed by a presentation. After that, your group participates in a group activity. You are being observed to see how you work with others. From there, each group will do a group interview, with two recruiters asking each candidate two different questions. These questions are really hard and at that moment you are overthinking. No one is asked the same question. After the presentation, people are called in groups and if you’re in the first group, you’re sent home. After that, everyone does a reach test and jumpseat test. I did my reach test but couldn't understand the recruiter due to his accent. They brought us back in the room for more questions while being called for the 1 v1. If you do well on your 1 on 1, you’ll be offered a CJO on the spot or be told they will contact you 5-7 bus. days. I find it disappointing for people to get to the 1v1 and ask when can you start to still get sent home. Why ask me about uniforms and starting and don’t give me CJO. The whole process is draining and depressing. They will gaslight you into thinking you got it and will receive an email. They will distract you with random question that will throw you off and don’t smile too much because they will know. The process was brutal because of the recruiters, they may seem friendly but they really don’t care.
