I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2022
Interview
In person interview process takes most of the day. Be confident, make eye contact, be personable, smile and have a positive attitude. When in the group session, participate, be a team player, but don't be bossy or talk too much. Allow others to participate in the session. I was in a group where 1 person took over and dominated, this made it hard for others to participate. This person was not selected to move forward to the next interview step. You are being watched by the interviewers in this session. I assume they are looking for team work and leadership skills. Prepare for the interview by thinking of examples in your career where you have demonstrated great customer service skills or how you have helped people, esp. anything to do with the care and safety of others. You can use these examples to help answer the "tell us about a time when" questions. Observe the others in the group you are interviewing with to see how they conduct themselves and answer questions. When they call names at the end, those are the people who are not moving forward. My name was called, when we got up to leave I observed those who were not called meaning they are moving along in the interview process. Several I had spoken to earlier or were at my table so I heard how they answered questions and how they did. Doing this can help you to learn what the interviewers are looking for. A few had FA experience, others were very confident and gave quick answers to questions without being too wordy.

Question 1
I don't remember the specific questions now, afterwards I realized how I could have done better by using examples that showed customer service skills. The question was fishing for it but was indirect. I believe they are looking for people who are confident, great team player, personable, comfortable with strangers, ability to handle and resolve problems quickly.
