Nonprofits' 4- to 5-part marathon interviews have become so bloated and ridiculous I'm amazed the trend hasn't been parodied on Saturday Night Live yet. Although AJP's interview process leaves something to be desired, all the staff and hiring team members were very pleasant to interact with. Negative experience was really due to the huge investment of time, lack of proactive follow up (I had to reach out to inquire about the status of my candidacy between the third and fourth rounds following a period of radio silence) and the fact that although they went out of their way early in the process to share how they compensate candidates for time spent on hiring exercises, they never mentioned it again and made no offer of compensation once I'd submitted the exercise(s) (there were two of them).
