      Business Analyst Interview

      9 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at Americaneagle.com

      Interview

Basically experienced a gross incompetence over 2.5 month time span. Initially applied and spoke with a recruiter/HR in a few days. Went very well and was asked later that day for my availability for an onsite interview with management for the next week. Didn't hear back, until a month later, when I reached out. HR rep apologize as "things are crazy busy here". I absolutely can that, but the inability to effectively communicate shouts unprofessional to me. Spent the next month waiting for HR trying to get management to schedule an onsite interview. They canceled on me twice, just the day or weekend before. HR rep seem very disorganized and did not keep communication going. While finalizing final interview with another company, I told the HR rep, I am still interested, please let me know when as soon as possible so I can ensure my availability. Days later, no response. i reached out to HR rep, and she told me the role has changed to skills which are in my resume and experience, but I am no longer up for the role. Interesting, since the role is still up and hasn't changed from initial posting 3 months ago.

We are extremely sorry that you had a negative experience while going through the interview process at Americaneagle.com. We strive to treat all of our applicants with respect and yes, sometimes the process can take longer than expected for a number of reasons. We looked into this case in particular, and here’s the timeline we had in our records: from 8/25/17, when the applicant applied, until 10/3/17, when the applicant was sent an email advising the position was on hold, we had 9 different communications with the applicant. Cancelling two interviews is not a typical practice for our team. We would like to discuss with you further if you’d like to reach out to the HR team again. We wish you the best of luck in your career.
