I applied online and received an email from a recruiter to contact her to discuss the position. The phone call was a bit awkward. It felt like the recruiter was reading from a script. She told me more about the position and scheduled a video interview the next week.
The video interview lasted 30 minutes. I prepared the night before and researched the company. I felt like I did well. I spoke on my previous management experience and my insurance experience. The questions were not that difficult. Honestly I'm not sure what they're looking for because I did not receive a job offer. I've worked in insurance for 3 years, and the position I applied for is a training program! Also, they hire students straight out of college. I wish companies would provide a better explanation as to why a candidate isn't chosen for a position, rather than sending a generic email. I can't learn from the mistakes of this interview if I don't know what they are.
