      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Anaplan (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2014

      Interview

Interview and hiring process was smooth, it took almost 4 weeks to complete the process. I applied online and went through 2 phone interviews and 2 onsite interviews. 1. First phone interview was with recruiter, she asked some really good questions. We had a good chat while exchanging information. 2. Second Skype interview was with a Tech lead, all technical questions including some programming and design related problems. 3. Onsite interview for 4 hours, had different sessions with VP of engineering and software engineers. They asked programming questions including database and design related problems. Used whiteboard to solve programming problems. Their main concern was problem solving capabilities. Questions: String manipulation, Linked Lists, algorithms, concurrency and design patterns etc. 4. Recruiter asked me for one more onsite interview to meet engineering team manager which was one hour session and he asked me general technical questions and then he explained me little bit more about what they are doing and what their future plans are. Overall experience was good!

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Anaplan (Gurgaon, Haryana)

      Interview

The interview loop at Anaplan was fairly direct. No extra rounds or overcomplication — just a clear sequence of discussions. Most interactions were centered around real situations and how you approach them, rather than trying to catch you off guard. The panel kept things concise and on track. There was a clear sense of what each round was trying to assess, which helped avoid any guesswork. Decisions were communicated without much lag, and the process didn’t lose momentum at any stage. Closed with an offer.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Anaplan (Richmond, VA) in Apr 2026

      Interview

I had an initial phone interview with Stephanie Parker, who did a great job clearly outlining the role while also giving me space to walk through my experience and how it aligns. From there, I moved on to conversations with Michael Wilkinson and Tom Bull, which helped me build a deeper understanding of both the day-to-day work and the broader engineering culture at Anaplan. I appreciated how open those discussions were—it really felt like a two-way conversation where I could ask thoughtful questions and get honest insights. Finally, I had the opportunity to meet with Michael Stuart, VP of Engineering, which was a great way to round out the process and understand the bigger-picture vision. Overall, the entire process moved efficiently—taking about three weeks—and felt well-structured and respectful of my time. It was a genuinely positive experience that allowed both sides to get to know each other well. I also appreciated how quickly everything wrapped up, with a written offer following promptly after the verbal one.
