Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Angi in Mar 2021
Interview
Overall, a very immersive process. I felt that they really wanted to get to know my technical skills AND me as a person. Also, there were no surprises - it was clearly communicated what was expected from each session.
Started with a conversation with a recruiter. Then a HM screen discussing a project I had previously worked on. Followed by a very collaborative tech screen.
The (remote) onsite included a couple of sessions for coding (algorithm & code design), data/system design + non-technical sessions.
Each interviewer was very friendly and collaborative. The technical sessions felt like a real work environment more than an interview. There was a lot of back and forth, and it felt like we worked through the problem together. In comparison, interviews at some other companies felt like I was taking a test with someone looking over my shoulder.
Also, the answers they gave to my questions seemed very genuine as opposed to sanitized, company sanctioned.
I rate it as Difficult due to the breadth of knowledge that I was tested on. In isolation, each session was Average difficulty.

She never reached back to me after i gave the date. Felt pretty bad that i wasted my time. May be it is their way of saying No. I would definitely not attend again.

Interview
After applying online, I reached out directly to the recruiter via email from a referral. We scheduled the initial screening call where there seemed to be a good overlap between my experience and what they were looking for. I was told I would hear from them with the next steps. I was then ghosted. I sent three follow-up emails over the following two weeks and never heard back.
