I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aria Systems (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
The interview was 2 rounds. The first round was just a phone screen with the Hiring Manager who asked a few easier Database Questions. I then was asked to complete a take home project to implement a small REST API which I would need to present as part of the second round interview. The second round was a 4 hour technical interview where I presented the project and was asked design and implementation questions.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Aria Systems (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2021
Interview
I went through an external recruiter. A very strange experience overall. From the start the people I spoke with from the company were beyond disorganized, but my recruiter convinced that if I pushed through I would like them. He was right, they did seem like good people, but "disorganized" continued to be the theme through the interview.
The recruiter from the Aria side asked me to "sell myself to the company", which was a weird start. And there was no technical portion, just trivia about the programming language. And the senior engineer, while very friendly and seemed to mean nothing by it, kept commenting on my age and how "he expected someone much older" in a way that started getting a bit uncomfortable by the end.
After that first call I never heard from them again, only after asking my recruiter did I find out they went with someone with more experience. Again, very nice people, but a very bad system.
